Requests!

Recently, I got some requests, and I figured I'd put them down here to jog my memory that I got them, and so people can see what songs I'm working on in the future.

I've completed lots of lyrics in a short time span, but since I don't have a microphone, Vocaloid, or UTAU to use my lyrics with, video production isn't easy. If anyone would like to help, I'd be super grateful.

On the request list right now is:

Daughter of White
Heat-Haze Days
Lynne
Long Distance Love Affair
Two Breaths Walking

It's not too much as of right now, and I'm working fast to get them all done.
If someone would like me to post a list of the lyrics I HAVE completed that weren't requested, just ask and I'll make the post.

Saihate -Farewell Song- (English Lyrics)

One of my most recent projects. I've always really loved this song, especially because it was one of the ones that got me into Vocaloid. I wrote these lyrics along with the Kz Remix (More commonly known as the 'Piano Visualizer Version'), although if you snip out the reprise of the first verse, it will fit the ballade version as well. I haven't tried with the original.

(You can hear the Kz Remix here, along with my absolute favorite PV for the song.)

As always with my lyrics, consult my Q&A before using.

Saihate -Farewell Song- (サイハテ)

I wonder what it is like all the way on the other side.
If you've arrived there safely, I hope that you'll send me a letter.
The door's beginning to open,
For you who's going so far away in the distance.
My singing voice along with this prayer
I hope that they reach you...

I wonder what it is like all the way on the other side.
If you've arrived there safely, I hope that you'll send me a letter.
The door's beginning to open,
For you who's going so far away in the distance.
My singing voice along with this prayer
I hope that they reach you...

There isn't a cloud in the sky,
It makes today's great weather seem so endless.
Everything just feels so sad,
It's the perfect day for us to part.

This ordinary life of mine, it was painted red the second that you touched me.
It was such a graceful love, It was such a graceful love
Farewell, my dear.

And then maybe one day,
If I believe that we can meet again,
All the days from this moment on,
We will enjoy them together, won't we?

If the door would choose to close now,
We'll have to be apart again.
The smoke that you left behind,
Will somehow become a cloud and start to rain.

This ordinary life of mine, it was painted red the second that you touched me.
It was such a graceful love, It was such a graceful love
Farewell, my dear...

Q&A With Jen!

So, these are a few questions I'm expecting to get. I figured I might as well get them out of the way. <3

Q: Can I use your lyrics?
A: Sure! If you're planning to use them for a cover/dub without making a profit, I don't mind at all. The only thing I ask is that you send me a link to the finished product, and credit me for my lyrics. You don't have to go all out - a simple 'Lyrics by Simsfanatic2/xXMusic-Note-JenXx', or something along those lines would suffice.

Q: What if I want to use your lyrics for a story/prose/a school project/a remix/etc.?
A: This goes in to a bit trickier territory. I'd prefer you ask me first, and specify what you want to use my lyrics for. The same as if you were doing a cover, I ask that you let me see the finished product and credit me for the lyrics somehow.

Q: Oh my god!! Will you write lyrics for -insert song here-?
A: Most likely, the answer will be yes. Although, I'm a bit picky about the songs I write for. If I like the song and I can get a grasp of the lyrics without the pace being too fast or there being another complication, I'll do your request. If I get too many and I'm swamped, I might tell you to wait a little while.

Q: Where do I send my request?
A: You can send your requests to either my Youtube account or my tumblr, but you'll have a better chance of getting an answer from my Youtube.

Q: Am I allowed to use your lyrics to make money/some other form of currency, virtual or otherwise?
A: Once again, this is tricky. If you want to use my lyrics to make real life money, I can't allow that - Specifically, because I don't own the original songs, and I could get in some sort of legal mess. Being a teenager with no income, I can't say that will bode well.
Let's think of an example, shall we? Let's say you're an UTAU user, and someone commissions you (AKA offers you money) to make their UTAUloid sing a song with my lyrics. If you were to ask, I would have to say no.
At this point in time, no matter what the currency - Euros, Yen, Dollars, Gaia Gold, I don't care - I won't allow this.

That's all I can think of now, but if you have another question, feel free to ask and it will be added here.

Welcome To My Blog!

Hello, everyone! My name is Jen, and this is my brand new blog.
I'm an amateur singer and I write singable English translations for Japanese songs - mainly Vocaloid ones - in my spare time. A friend of mine recently suggested that I post my lyrics somewhere for other people to use them if they so wish. I figured that it would be a good idea, so here we go!
I do take requests, but I might not get to all of them. I'll post a further set of rules and things when I have some time.

Thank you so much for visiting! <3
